Hello all,
I am trying to download the i3 windows manager either off the Opensuse software site or Yast and it continues to tell me it can not find the repository or URL site.
This is what’s given off the OpenSuse website:
zypper addrepo https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:Factory/standard/openSUSE:Factory.repo
Any suggestions? Thank you very much!
Why do you need an additional repo? i3 window manager is available from the standard OSS repo. So a simple sudo zypper in i3 is sufficient without adding additional repos.

I’ve looked through all my settings on my Mate desktop and can not find a way to make the i3 my windows manager…

In your login screen (where you put your user password) there should be a dropdown menu somewhere to choose the DE you want.
Thank you hui! I was able to find that and placed it on i3 but it would not let me log in. The screen would turn black and the log in screen would just reappear after a few seconds. I tried it multiple times…
