Unable to wget (not able to resolve host), nslookup and use YasT to connect to repository. Ping works and also able to use Opera for Internel access, FireFox is flaky (links from Google search result do not work).
I have disable IPv6 but it did not help.
I am connected to my ISP (sbcglobal) via DSL. Have tried both wired (eth0) and wireless (wlan0).
Please help!
Knowing which repo might help 
traceroute might also give valuable info about where it’s going wrong.

I have the exact same problem, I did a clean installation(11.1) and the first thing I do is install the nvidia drivers, it failed adding the repository, I tried adding another one of the community ones, it fails as well…if i google something from the search box on firefox it lags a lot.
I have a wired connection after the install my card appeared as “not configured” in yast, I just cliked on edit, didn’t change anything and clicked on next until it finished, the status changes to dhcp, and it recognized my internet but it gives me these problems
also…the updater fails everytime
any ideas?
ok…so after over half an hour trying over and over with the update applet, it eventually caught ONE update…which asked me to restart and then it caught a couple more and i saw one that said yast-network…and i think that was it, I can add repositories again and do regular browsing
