Unable to connect to wifi networks

Hello,

I did an upgrade to openSUSE 11.1 and wifi wasn’t working out of the box. So, I installed madwifi and blacklisted ath5k, as advised in another thread.

Now networkmanager can see wifi networks but does nothing when it’s told to connect to them. I’m not using any kind of security for the wifi. I’ve tried to connect under gnome, kde4 with networkmanager-kde and networkmanager-kde4, as well ifup so… I don’t know what I’m missing.
