Unable to connect to internet in Gnome 3 in opensuse 12.1

Hi guys I recently installed opensuse 12.1 with Gnome 3. At that time I was able to connect to internet in Gnome 3. But Gnome 3 was running only in Fallback mode with dull graphics. So I installed KDE desktop also.

But now all the Gnome 3 problems are gone but I cannot connect to the Internet when using GNOME. I can connect in KDE using the KDE network Manager.

I use a Micromax 3g usb modem to use internet. For connection in Gnome I use sakis3G script or a proprietary software of the modem (Intended for ubuntu).

Before installing KDE I was able to connect in GNOME but not now.

The following are the terminal outputs:

USING "sakis3g"*********

gaurav@linux-frui:~> ./sakis3g

You need to post a copy of that script (sakis3g) as it contains commands like kdesu, which are intended for KDE and not GNOME.

Thank You,

Thanks for reply.

I don’t think the script is intended for KDE only because before KDE installation, it was working smoothly but not after that…

Well for now, I am now able to connect to the Internet through the GNOME 3’s Network Manager as it detects my usb modem and provide me an option to connect…
