Unable to burn using any program

i’m hoping someone will help me troubleshoot not being able to burn. i’ve been unable to burn anything for quite a while. i did a fresh install of opensuse 11.0 x86 and burning worked for a while but then for some reason it stopped working. i’m wondering if this might be a kernel issue. (i’m trying to burn data dvds btw).
i’ve tried burning with kde4-k3b 1.95-svn, k3b 1.0.5, and brasero and they all fail with the same error. (which i will include below in k3b 1.0.5’s log).

use k3b from packman - it’s the kde3 ver. but works in any desktop.

install the k3b codecs too

thank you so much! how in the world did you know the packman version of k3b 1.0.5 would work?

what is the difference between the packman version & the suse version? the way they were compiled?

This is well known fact. ALWAYS use the Packman version. All multimedia should be from there.
