p.s.: i tryed a lot of tutorials, but they doesnt work 4 me

thx a lot
greez max;)

did you install the kernel-source package? Make sure that the source package version is the same as your kernel package.

  • Update your system (YaST online Update)

  • Reboot

  • Install NVidia-drivers from NVidia-Repository

See the openSUSE WIKI (search for “Nvidia proprietary”) for detailled instructions.

yes, i installed gcc, kernel source, make and configured the kernel source but it wont kreate the NVIDIA kernel.

im a littlebit frustrated

the nvidia repository doesnt contains drivers needet for my graka.
so i have to install it maually …

Yes he did, otherwise he would get other error messages.

However, look at the version of this driver, I don’t know where to get such an old piece of code, this must bei several years old, no wonder it doesn’t build against a recent kernel.

Even if it were so, the driver you are trying to install will not be acceptable in any case, but as you don’t mind telling us which card you have, nobody can tell you if this is true.

here is the link where i downloadet the nvidia driver:
Linux Grafiktreiber - x86

my graka isnt the newest one

my graka: nvidia Quadro nvs 55/280

As I said, look at the date, 2 years old.

And your card is supported by the drivers from NVidia-Repository (version 173).

ok, so its seems like i g2buy a new graka :
but its good to knew this so i wont waste more time trying to install the drivers

thx a lot

No you have to READ what people write to help you.

Stick to english, this is an international forum (the one sentence was only to get you awake).

Read my first answer, and this:

And uninstall all other stuff you had installed by hand before.

i uninstalled all drivers (graphic)

And your card is supported by the drivers from NVidia-Repository (version 173).

what do u try to tell me? maybe i dont understand the sence.rotfl!
because i can nowhere find some quadro drivers but on the nvidia homepage, but i cant install them

What are you constantly babbling about the nvidia-site?

the needet drivers :
Linux Grafiktreiber - x86

i can find them only on the nvidia site
BUT_NOT_IN_REPOSITORY :\

can u understand now what m bubbeling about?:shame:
