Unable to Boot after failed Updates 13.1

I tried to install updates today and it failed. Tried with Zypper Up and Apper. I rebooted and can’t get past the Opensuse flash screen. So I did the following but the flash screen just flashed repeatedly. Is there anything else I can do or is my system hosed? Any help would be great. Thank you all!

boot dvd → select installation
Once booted and greeted with the EULA → select abort
Abort installation → an error occured during the installation.
press ok → then select start installation
boot installed system → choose the root partition .

Not sure what you expected that to fix.

Ok Did you try booting to a previouse kernel? Select advanced at boot screen

I tried all kernels installed with the same result.

Well without knowing what failed it is hard to say what to do

If you have the full dvd you can do an update and this should correct the basic problem but then you will need to do an online update to bring things up to date.

I do in facts have the full DVD. Can you give me a little more detail? I am very new to this Distro.

Boot the full DVD, and instead of choosing “install” choose “upgrade installed system”.

It is not really an upgrade, because you are “upgrading” to the same version.

Some documentation here:
