Ugly messages at boot time

I saw many ugly messages at boot time and I want to resolve them, but how can I see them once the system is already booted?

Have a look at /var/log/messages

/var/log/messages if using 12.1 (systemd), /var/log/boot.msg for earlier
versions (systemv).
