Hi, I’m not able to open GIMP through UFRaw… When I try to, the following dialogue appears:
Error activating Gimp.
Failed to execute child process “gimp-remote” (No such file or directory).
Any clues? I checked my /.gimp file, and I actually have two versions (.gimp-2.4, .gimp-2.6)… Could this be a path problem or something like that?
#Solved#
By upgrading UFRaw to latest version. It is a bug that was fixed as of version 0.14.1
19/10/2008 - UFRaw-0.14.1 released, based on DCRaw v 8.88.
- Fix the “Send to Gimp” option to work with Gimp-2.6 that no longer ships the remote-gimp command.
- Output and Display intents where switched when a proofing transformation was used.
UFRaw - Home
Latest version as of now is UFRaw 0.15 with EXIV2 0.18. The repositories I have in Yast do not show this version.
I uninstalled old version of UFRaw, installed libexiv2.so.5()(64bit) (from rpm.pbone.net), and reinstalled UFRaw going directly to the OpenSuse software page.
Failed to execute child process “/usr/lib/chromium/chromium-gnome” (No such file or directory)
Does anyone have a suggestion?

The first thought that comes to mind is to check and see if the indicated
program exists on your system. I’d bet even money that it doesn’t.
If it doesn’t, then install it or change the preference that points to it.
Beyond that, you’d have to tell us a bit about your system.
