Is there anything on UEI and loading in OpenSuse Leap 42.1.? I have two hard drive, Drive 0 is Windows, Drive 1 is supposed to be Linux only drive. can somebody who knows how to setup on UEI bios help. I had a change when I selected user permissions for “Paranoid”, it locked me out of root, so I been trying all day to get this configure and it fails on install or goes to Grub2-beta screen, reboot and try again. I don’t like BTRF’s, prefer LVM secured encrypted for /Home, root and system.
I’m assuming that you mean “UEFI”.
However, it looks to me as if your problems are due to setting paranoid security. You should be able to login to the command line as root. Use CTRL-ALT-F1 to get a command line. Then see if you can fix the security problems that way. Once logged in at the command line, it should be possible to run “yast”. Without a graphic interface, it is a little more cumbersome. But give it a try. I suggest that you revert to “easy” (instead of “paranoid”).
Boot installer in EFI mode NOT legacy to install on second drive you do have to take control to tell the installer what you want. BTRFS is a file system not a container like LVM. For EFI you need a efi boot partition FAT format outside the LVM. If drive 0 is an EFI boot it will have the partition, mount it as /boot/efi (do not format it). You can create a second FAT format on the second drive ( I believe that will work) format as FAT and mount as /efi/boot. You don’t have to use BTRFS jut format the LVM subs as ext4
Stay away from paranoid settings LOL
