Ubuntu Universe

As Ubuntu 16.04 moved a lot (really a lot, e.g. well known software like Qt also moved) of software to Universe, and as Universe is not available when we select an Ubuntu repository, I would like to know if there is currently a way to depend of packages in Universe repository (without manually rebuild them) or if there is a plan to provide this possibility in a near future.

Thanks for pointing out this thread.

as the list of packages not available in OBS has increased significantly since Ubuntu 16.04 so OBS is less usable with Ubuntu (e.g. a lot of software are relying on Qt UI toolkit), I ping here with the hope that this may change in a near future.

another question: if we install our own instance of OBS, is it possible to add Universe easily?

Hi
Yes, you can add anything you like
