On one computer, a few months ago, I managed to set “sa-translit” with “m17n” keyboard input method to type diacritic marks for Romanized Sanskrit so it looks like this: Viṣṇu, Kṛṣṇa, Rāma etc, but I don’t remember and can’t figure out how I did it and can’t replicate the same behavior on other machines. Either iBus fails to initialize or it conflicts with the keyboard input package that was used in openSUSE before, something somehow is always wrong. Since I’m using the same version, 13.1, with the same KDE, is there a way to simply copy paste keyboard settings files from one machine to another and have exactly the same keyboard related packages installed in Yast? Or how to install and get “sa-translit m17n” working from scratch. Later I might want to add Romanized Sanskrit to an Xfce laptop, too.
