Привет!
Sorry for writing in English but my typing skills in Cyrillic are painfully in disuse (as my Russian, so more passive then active). Still I would like to make it to read the articles posted here. But I run into the impossibility to make FF show them as Cyrillic. I tried to join koi-8 to the international accepted character sets but still nothing.
Thanks in advance…
Ps, I can however read the names of the sub-forums.
Hi, you have to change your “language”. It will change your encoding.
UTF-8 encoding/ÐиÑем по-ÑÑÑÑки
Using now UTF-8, having in the character set the KOI-8 and did put the Russian in preferred language: nothing, still unrecognizable hieroglyphs…
Where else would I do the setting?
Do you really have UTF-8?
Settings… you can find it in your profile, or try first change “language” (bottom of the page).
I may have a system specific problem. I did set utf-8 in FF, nothing (not even with Russian set as perferred language. I went with Opera: use for this site utf-8 encoding…still nothing.
Maybe because 11.1 with KDE3.5 has a severe problem with choosing encoding? Will try this weekend on my home-machine with KDE4.5 and will let you know. Cpaciba.
11.1 with KDE3.5 has no problem.
so I am doing sth wrong then.
