Two Build-in Analog Stereo???

Hello everyone,
My laptop is Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820TG with Switchable Graphics ATI/Intel. I disabled ATI when boot by adding this line to /etc/init.d/boot.local

echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch

However, KMix determined two Analog Stereo
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-dvZbZTKpJkA/U76wowdq4hI/AAAAAAAAADU/I8Je09RbzWk/s800/snapshot3.png

But only the left Stereo affects the sound of system, the right is no use at all (I tried headphones or other sound devices but it didn’t control anything).

Moreover, sometime I reboot and choose Windows 7 Home Premium for some reasons. The internal speakers work as usual but the external speakers and headphones don’t work. I come back to openSUSE and everything work fine. Then I choose Windows for next boot, these devices continues to work!
I realize this problem SOMETIMES occured, but it only occured when the previous boot was openSUSE. Did I do anything wrong to KMix?

Hope for your help.
THanks a lot.

P/S: Sorry for my bad English.

If you click on the KMix ‘Mixer’ button, you should be able to get some additional information about your current configuration. (For example, you can split channels Left/Right if desired.) The other thing to know is that PulseAudio is running ‘under the hood’, and KMix only displays the currently active playback/capture channels. For a more detailed picture, you should examine the PA volume control settings. Run the following from a terminal

pavucontrol

Hope that helps. I’m sure others can expand on this if further help needed.

Thank you, now I know the right one control the microphone.

There is still a problem:

I don’t know what the cause of this problem is, but it is likely hardware-related. You may want to share details about your audio hardware

/usr/sbin/hwinfo --sound

Hopefully, someone else can assist further. Meanwhile Google may be your best friend.

If you don’t do a full cold boot sometimes hardware can remember configuration from a previous OS which may not work in another.

Maybe my keyword too stupid so Google can’t give me the right answer

I don’t know if this is any help, but my motherboard has HD Audio and AC97 audio, and I found this:

I also see both in KDE Mixer. I just don’t touch the adjustments for the HD audio, everything seems ok. On mine, it shows “HDMI Audio” on one, and “Built-in Audio Analog Stereo” on the other, not the same thing you are seeing, so I don’t know if this is really the same problem (though for me it’s not really a problem).

When I first built this computer, I was getting no audio from the front panel headphone output until I set BIOS to use AC97 for that. No idea if HD audio works, but my guess is that it is for the HDMI connector, which I don’t use. I get sound, so I never investigated this further. Hope this is of some help.

It works! Thanks!
