I run TW on a VM (VirtualBox). Host is an AMD 12-core with 16Gb memory and the virtual disk is on an SSD. 4 cores and 4 Gb memory assigned
So starting TW is not lightning fast, but fast enough for my taste, and I have absolutely no complaint on working it, incl running web- and mysql-server.
But closing it takes about 5 times longer (I haven’t used a stopwatch!) than starting. Take into account that I stop the web- and mysql-server before I close TW. Is that normal??
It depends. During shutdown press ESC to see messages. Anything about waiting for services/processes to stop?
Stop job for making remote CUPS-printer locally available takes about 1 min.
But I don’t understand that this is happening for any reason. I cann’t remember setting up the printer in the first place and second, it is locally connected to this desktop by USB.
Anyway, run now Yast-printer and configure it. It says connected via USB as a local printer. And this delay still happens.
This printer is shared on the host system in samba, but again I never configured TW as a samba client, I did as an NFS client. So, beats me.
