After upgrading my server from OpenSUSE 11.3 to 11.4 it doesn’t recognize the tv tuners. And downgrading doesn’t help.
I’ve tried using the default and the desktop kernel.
I’ve tried updating the kernels and the ivtv packages and even tried uninstall those and the desktop kernel and reinstall them.
But still:
It doesn’t see the tuners and manually installing my Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500 card and then Edit and selecting TV Channels… gives this massage:
*Error
The kernel module for TV support could not be loaded.

What do I do to make my server receive television again?
