I am running openSUSE Tumblweed with KDE desktop on my laptop which I have brought on trip to NZ. Having sorted out my network connection and since the device had been out of use for a couple of weeks I tried to do a zypper dup update. The update required nearly 2000 files but almost very file in the first 30 was not available from the repo. In the end I had to abort.
I had tried again several times over the last half day, assuming that the problem might have been due to delays in syncing the mirrors but so far no good but I then had advice to change to the CDN source and so have disabled the old repo sites and enabled the CDN sites.
After going through a stack of changes for individual files I was able to proceed and as I type the update is progressing well.
Why I am posting now is that I wish to understand better how and why the CDN repos were installed and ask if I can get rid of the unwanted repos. I have far more than I would have thought necessary so what should I have for a TW installation as a minimum requirement please?
