Tumbleweed on an old microsoft surface tablet from 2015: audio/sound not working / device not found

i recently installed openSUSE tumbleweed on an old microsoft surface tablet/laptop. Most of the important stuff seems to work, but when pressing the volume buttons, the volume is only changed for a “dummy audio” device. I also noticed, when checking the audio hardware, that there is no audio hardware present! Is there something i can do about that?

installing a package called sof-firmware solved the issue

is saying nearly nothing about hardware.

yes, in the beginning I was not even aware by myself which kind of device i have. It is a Surface 3 tablet.
