Tumbleweed: glib2-tools _gsettings shadows the completion shipped by zsh

On current Tumbleweed, gsettings completion in zsh does not work correctly.

$ rpm -qf /usr/share/zsh/site-functions/_gsettings
glib2-tools-2.88.3-2.1.x86_64

$ rpm -ql zsh | grep ‘/_gsettings$’
/usr/share/zsh/functions/Completion/Unix/_gsettings

$ whence -v _gsettings
_gsettings is a shell function from /usr/share/zsh/site-functions/_gsettings

The glib2-tools version therefore shadows the completion shipped by zsh.

For example, completing a gsettings key gives:

No matches for: schemas', corrections’, or `file’

It looks like gsettings.zsh was added to the openSUSE glib2 package around
2015, while zsh now ships its own _gsettings completion.

Is the glib2-tools copy still intentionally needed, or should it be removed
in favor of the zsh-provided completion?

@ttominaga Hi and welcome to the Forum :smile:
I don’t use zsh, perhaps @iznogood has some thoughts?

Looks like this option… But you need to create a bug report, follow the side panel link to submitting. And can you post back the link to the report.

Thanks for the guidance. I’ve filed a bug report here:
