Tubleweed zypper dup issues

It’s been troublesome last weeks. Some codecs asked for vendor change etc.
Now i got this:
Checking for file conflicts: …[error]
Detected 545 file conflicts:

File /etc/issue.net
from install of
openSUSE-release-20201129-775.1.x86_64 (openSUSE:Tumbleweed)
conflicts with file from package
kded-lang-5.76.0-1.1.noarch (@System)

File /lib/firmware/amdgpu/navi10_asd.bin.xz
from install of
kernel-firmware-amdgpu-20201120-1.1.noarch (openSUSE:Tumbleweed)
conflicts with file from package
glibc-2.32-3.1.x86_64 (@System)

… and on and on.
Is the update server on some sort of maintenance and i should just wait till it stabilizes? Or is it a problem on my side?

Strange.

Checking here, “/etc/issue.net” does come from that “openSUSE-release” package. But it is not at all part of “kded-lange-5.76.0-1.1”, so I am not seeing a conflict.

Maybe try running (as root)

rpm --rebuilddb

Your rpm database might be corrupted.

zypper dist-upgrade is easy. If it gets troublesome exercising will help. Show your list of enabled repos as follows:

Ok getting priorities straight seems to have resolved the issue. Thnx!

Hi
Out of interest, what packages have you installed from my home Testing repository?

Was going to install the ThonnyBut went for pycharm instead. would be kool if the thonny is available in the tumbleweed repos though.

Hi
OK, kewl  It will be, just waiting for python3-asttokens to make it through the process and into Tumbleweed

zypper dist-upgrade is happy now, but you may not get what you want to have. packman should have higher priority: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/540572-Installing-Packman-Codecs. Nonstandard repos 1, 3, 4 and 5 should have lower priority 101 as repo #2.

By “higher priority” you mean “lower value”? If the value is called “priority” shouldn’t the higher value mean higher priority?

Thnx Lewis!

“Lower value” indeed means “higher priority”. You might find that strange, but when one says “that is #1 priority”, one means “highest”.
