Trying to update my Suse11.2 KDE4.3.5 to KDE4.4.4

I have been away from my Suse11.2 install for a few months, and now time permits have got back into my migration from windows. However after attempting to update noticed the repos have changed and a new KDE (4.4.4) is available. I have changed my repos to pick up the change but cannot see it for update. Would somebody mind checking my setup (below)? I changed the three KDE 4.4 SC repos to priority 50 so they would override any conflicts (does this sound reasonable?).

Another question; Is it worth it?

Thanks for looking.

IMHO your repo list is quite a mess. Two ways to deal with this, again IMHO

  1. Get all the new stuff and install 11.3, then search the forums for updating to KDE4 4.5.1, or install from a KDE-Reloaded LiveCD
    ](http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Medias/images/iso/)
  2. Remove/disable these repos: 16, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7, 6 (duplicate), 5, 4, 3, and 2.
    Add these 2 repos:

I hope your system has not become too far from default to do this without trouble.

Let us know how you got on.

Thanks for the reply.
Tried option 2 first and lost root login (just my user id showing) and couldnt configure any desktop effects. So I then downloaded and updated to 11.3. Repos are now this:

| Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh | Priority | Type | URI | Service

–±------------------------±------------------------±--------±--------±---------±------±----------------------------------------------------------------±-------
1 | openSUSE-11.3 11.3-1.82 | openSUSE-11.3 11.3-1.82 | Yes | No | 99 | yast2 | cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0 |
2 | repo-debug | openSUSE-11.3-Debug | No | Yes | 99 | NONE | Index of /debug/distribution/11.3/repo/oss |
3 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-11.3-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes | 99 | NONE | Index of /distribution/11.3/repo/non-oss |
4 | repo-oss | openSUSE-11.3-Oss | Yes | Yes | 99 | NONE | Index of /distribution/11.3/repo/oss |
5 | repo-source | openSUSE-11.3-Source | No | Yes | 99 | NONE | Index of /source/distribution/11.3/repo/oss |
6 | repo-update | openSUSE-11.3-Update | Yes | Yes | 99 | NONE | Index of /update/11.3 |
After my last disaster I am hesitant at adding the KDE repos. Which ones do you advise?

By the way, 11.3 looks lovely and the update was a breeze! I have been boring friends (who are still on Windows) how good Suse is. I have a laptop install lined up for somebody already!
