waiting doesn’t seem to help so the only effective option is to kill - or close the browser and start again - usually meaning that all the typed content is lost and has to be started again (I usually give up and forget it unless it is really important)

Libre Office? Chromium?
is nobody else seeing this issue?
I am at the stage now where I no longer am prepared to use chromium in the opensuse forums because this problem is happening all too often. I now keep firefox on standby to use only for Opensuse forums.
I tried removing chromium and deleting profile.
Reinstalled and still see the same behaviour.
Only having problems with Opensuse forums.
So is LOffice. However it’s involved I don’t know
I think you are getting confused. Libreoffice is not involved in this issue whatsoever.
The screenshot above is the chromium error window. I was trying to post to a thread about libreoffice when the forums froze up. The chromium error window is displaying the page I was on when the forums / chromium froze.

Does chromium have some sort of debugger like Firefox? Maybe you could
figure out what is getting stuck.
