I’ve tried twice today to install Gnome in Yast2 and it timed out many times and the second attempt way very slow where after 40 minutes I aborted the install to try again tomorrow. Are the repos servers running slow today? Shouldn’t take over an hour to install Gnome, should it?
It may just be temp.
I don’t use Gnome but I guess if you are unable to wait, just disable all online repo’s and enable only the dvd (that assumes you used a dvd to install - always the best choice)
I didn’t have the DVD only the Live CD. I’ll wait and try another day.
Tried again and was able to get in downloaded and installed. Gnome works well with OpenSuse 11
