trying to change email address fails in forum

hi,

on attempting to change the email address in my user profile today,
https://forums.opensuse.org,
the entry placed in the password box disappears, then a box comes up
saying the password does not match the one used to logon

is this a bug, or just my install

anyone else having a similar experience?

I’m not sure, but I think you have to make those changes on the login page rather than in your forum.

It’s nothing to do with your installation. Your question on how to
change your e-mail address is part of our forums FAQ:

http://forums.opensuse.org/faq.php?faq=novfor#faq_changeidemail

Just follow the instructions there and it’ll get changed/updated.

thanks for the feedback

on going through the procedure outlined, only my new email address was recognised

my email address had already been changed at Novell Bugzilla,
so its just the synchronisation between Novell and openSUSE forums
to be sorted out
