OK-here we go.
I have a windows xp pro sp3 desktop pc.
I want to do a dual install of the newest opensuse along with my current windows xp.
Please point me in the right direction.
I need all my windows stuff for my wife.

Hehe good question. 
I’m usually writing a Good luck to the end of my posts. I hope you can install everything without any problem - the link what I’m posted above is very useful. If you follow it step-by-step your openSUSE should be OK.
Know problems: yeah of course. you can’t write DVD while your aren’t a member of disk and cdrom groups, there was some sound problems - I’m solved it by deleting some default packages, etc. etc.
