Trusting home repo

I am majorly paranoid about trusting a home repo with system going south before now. I “need” to install acpi_call package to access ThinkPad only TLP features, which three home repos provide. I went with the top one home:derselbst but it install all this;

Legit?!?

Hi
That is way old code for Tumbleweed anyway… did you go to the source site?

https://github.com/mkottman/acpi_call

This module is to be considered a proof-of-concept and has been superseeded by projects like [bbswitch](https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/bbswitch). It allows you to tamper with your system and should be used with caution.

Installation of all that stuff would be correct back 5 years ago and building kernel modules…

Just use bbswitch instead…
