Troubleshooting Opensuse 15.1 KDE session terminating

Hello opensusers,

Please help me troubleshoot my session crashing to the login screen at random times.

Logs have this at time of session crash:


 su[14550]: pam_unix(su:session): session closed for user root
polkitd[1972]: Unregistered Authentication Agent for unix-session:2 (system bus name :1.30, object path /org/kde/PolicyKit1/AuthenticationAgent, locale en_US.UTF-8) (disconnected from bus)

Using: KDE w/Wayland amdgpu

Overall amdgpu with Plasmashell is very buggy and often unresponsive. Have to use xrenderer for even basic functionality.

I suggest not using Wayland in Leap 15.1. It really isn’t ready for prime time. Wayland in Tumbleweed works pretty well, but not in Leap 15.1. The next Leap release (15.2) should have a better Wayland experience.
