Hi guyz,
As i understand the “hibernate and suspend” in the Leap are managed differently from other versions of OpenSuse, cuz the location of files and commands from this article https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Suspend_to_disk are not working for Leap, (it’s mentioned in [this post](http://In Leap bootloader is configured directly from hibernat)a little)
Now i dunno how to fix hibernation problem for my newly installed Leap.
I have 4 GB ram and 6GB swap and installed Nvidia proprietary driver, but whenever I press the hibernate button, it seems that the process gets started, but after 30 secs, the system goes to an unresponsive state and i have to shutdown my system by force (holding power button for 10 secs).
can someone tell me where configuration files are located (things like /etc/suspend.conf)and how can I troubleshoot hibernation in Leap?
Thanks a lot
Is this a laptop?is it an Optimus? If so don’t use the NVIDIA driver use bumblebee
Hi gogalthorp and thanks for your reply,
It’s a laptop, Acer 5741G, it only has one VGA, which is Nvidia GT320m, it is an Optimus?
Regards
Don’t know most are these days. Show lspci as root and see if an Intel GPU shows up also. If it is only NVIDIA then the NVIDIA driver is OK
Thanks gogalthorp,
I don’t have the Intel GPU,
so what should I do for my issue?
mhm@linux-rfkb:~> sudo lspci
