Trouble with Atheros AR928x

I am not a power user, but I am trying to get linux running on my computer now that Windows has crashed. Installed openSuse 12.1 from a liveCD and cannot connect to my wireless that works fine with other devices. The scan does not show any wireless networks. Here is the data I have gathered from the various commands that I’ve seen requested on this forum:

I can see that the wirless hardware can be found, but the network is down. That’s all I get out of this info. Can anyone help me?

And use compat-wireless from there

Then open Yast > Software Management
