I have a large format Epson WF-7510 printer scanner. I was previously able to install it under Opensuse 13.1 and it scanned, printed, etc. Initially I tried to install it with Opensuse 13.2 but had no end of trouble doing so. Henk suggested I try with a newer version od Opensuse, so I have installed Leap 42.2
Now I’m trying to install my Epson with the drivers from the Epson site - http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/se…search/?OSC=LX and I’m still having the same problems. There are three possible printer drivers on the site, and when i install the epson-inkjet-printer-201110w driver or the epson-inkjet-printer-escpr and I try to use Yast to install them, Yast tells me the package is broken and the integrity check has failed. The last one, marked as epson-printer-utility appears to install correctly, but when I try to configure it under Yast, printers, Yast can’t find any WF-7510 printer drivers, the recommended ones don’t seem to be able to print a test page.
My old 13.1 system used a Gutenprint driver, so I’ve tried that, too, with a 5.2.11-56.1-x86_64 version, but that doesn’t allow me to print, either.
Can anyone steer me in the correct direction to get this working?
