so should i take the risk?
acronis what? They have several programs. acronis backup doesn’t work or only works bit by bit with current linux file systems. Clonezilla is better or partclone.
I have windows on a primary partition and ntfs storage and about 7 linux partitions under an extended partition. No problem whatsoever.
If you use gparted to copy one os to another partition you will need to make sure you change the uuid as well.
Yes, it does, it is able to read Ext2, Ext3 (which is in fact Ext2) and ReiserFS and it reads only the data, so no sector by sector copy.
And I bet it can even handle Ext4, but that’s scheduled for a test this weekend.
