Transfer files to Mac OS 10.6

How can I copy ext4 files to a Mac using a USB HD?

Thanks.

Just to be clear, files don’t have filesystems so that’s not an issue. In
order to do this just plug your USB drive into your SUSE-based box, mount
it, copy files from Linux (ext4 filesystem I guess) to the USB drive, then
unplug, go to the Mac, and copy off. If your USB drive is ext4 you’ll
likely need to use an OS that handles more filesystems (Mac may be weak
there unfortunately) or else make the USB drive use something like fat32
(as long as you have smaller files) as the least-common denominator.

Good luck.

Be careful with case sensitivity !
If you install Mac OS X yourself, you can create a case sensitive HFS filesystem or choose UFS (which is also case sensitive). But if you didn’t install it yourself (like most people), your HFS filesystem will be case insensitive !!!>:(
