Put on your tin foiled hat!

Hi
I have it’s a multi-layer one…

Awesome, didn’t know this existed. Watched the SpaceX launch yesterday. Of course I installed gpredict straight away.

Hi
Also track aircraft as well… with a rtl-sdr dongle (openSUSE Leap 42.3) and VRS… currently working on a Quadrifilar Helix antenna to grab weather maps from the NOAA satellites with another rtl-sdr dongle and Gqrx (Sotware Defined Radio)

… it will not work properly unless you sandwich lead foil between those layers.

So latest reports indicate sometime starting 7:00 - 9:30pm CDT today and
a seven hour window… a pass by here with AOS at 03:20am CDT Monday…

Might need extra lead sheets…LOL

Started reading updates first thing this morning…
I’ve been seeing “next 2 hours or so, plus or minus” all day.
Various explanations why it’s not possible be more precise.

As noted, current estimate is “about 2 hrs from now” about 8:30 pm EST but also may well into the beginning of the next day.
Also median point of re-entry said to be just west of the southern tip of South America (moving eastwards). But, that’s likely to change.
From the estimated altitudes, seems the space station is skipping off the atmosphere repeatedly as it sinks into the atmosphere, it’s not doing a sudden nose-dive.

Also,
When the Tianjin actually does break up completely, it’s estimated that no actual confirmation will be published for up to another 2 hrs to double check the sensor readings.
