Hey guys, I’m coming back to OpenSuSE after many years. I’m having a problem with my touchpad, tapping doesn’t seem to work (neither with one nor two fingers). Tapping is enabled on the touchpad config but it simply doesn’t work. The model is “ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad” and my notebook is a Samsung NP300E5C series laptop, and I’m using the latest Leap. Any help would be much appreciated.
I don’t have experience with that touchpad. However, tapping works on my laptops. It works too well, and I have to disable the touchpad to make the system usable.
Wanna swap laptops?
You probably don’t want to try that, because my laptop is 10 years old.
That does bring up a different point. Maybe your touchpad is newer than the driver. You might want to experiment with a newer kernel from the stable kernels repo
