Touchpad sensitivity on plasma

Hello,
I’ve recently installed Leap 15.3 on a new laptop, but the customary touchpad sensitivity settings are ghosted out in systemsettings5: is there another way to make it less…touchy feely?

Regards

Perhaps try using the synaptics driver?

Touchpad Synaptics - ArchWiki](https://www.x.org/archive/X11R7.5/doc/man/man4/synaptics.4.html)

Provided that, the “xf86-input-synaptics” package has been installed, the KDE System Settings for a Touchpad should be activated –

  • And, provided that, the Touchpad has been detected …

Please check with “inxi --admin --usb” if the Touchpad has been detected as a USB device, or not.

  • Other places to check are, the KDE Info Center and, ‘/var/log/Xorg.0.log’ – assuming that, you’re using X11 and not Wayland …
  • Please check with “cat /proc/bus/input/devices” to see if, the system has detected the Touchpad somewhere else, or not.
