Touchpad not working - Sony Vaio

Hey guys I am running openSuse 11.3 (kde) on my laptop, Sony Viao VPCEA36FA.

The touchpad and bluetooth mouse dont work. I am currently using a wifi-usb mouse which works perfectly fine.

What is the problem ?

I downloaded the relevant synaptics driver v 0.1.1 but the “make” fails.

In file included from synaptics.c:64:0:
Xincludes/usr/X11R6/lib/Server/include/misc.h:80:25: fatal error: X11/Xosdefs.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [synaptics.o] Error 1

What do I do ?

Try running
hwinfo --bluetooth
hwinfo --mouse
to see whether the hardware has been detected.
(you may have to use su – for this)/

If it hasn’t been, that is the first problem to deal with.

Maybe its a issue with parring your bluetooth mouse to your computer. When I first installed OpenSuse I had issues with my bluetooth mouse. Turns out it was a parring issue.
