When you read the stickies, did you notice a discussion of rfkill? If the radio
is blocked by some situation, that is exactly what you see.

When you report computer output, please do not paraphrase. Include everything
from the command all the way to the next prompt exactly as it appeared on your
screen. In addition, it is best to include the posted text inside code tags (see
advanced editing). That way the formatting is preserved.

The command you need is ‘/usr/sbin/rfkill list’. If rfkill is not found, you
need to install the rfkill package.

Thank you for your reply. When I get home, I’ll type of all those logs, as well as the boot log if that helps although it sounds like this may not be necessary. I’ll download the rfkill application and get that installed and hopefully that will resolve my issue.

In a way, I’m really not surprised that this is giving me issue. Last year the wireless radio was somehow switched off, and now learning about the hardware switch makes me think that it could have malfunctioned. I had to go through some ******** proprietary Toshiba application to “re-activate” the radio…

Of course a reboot worked. :expressionless:
