i like to install one of the above programs.
Who has a how to for torsmo or conky in opensuse 11.1?

I see that neither of these programs are in the repos so you would have
to either find a package somewhere to install or compile them from
source.
Have you considered using “Gkrellm”? It’s available in the repos and it
works well. I also find it to use less resources than Conky.
