I am looking for a torrent client that would be 11.2 compatible. I keep running into Ktorrent. Does anyone know if this is the best, or if there is a better, more stable one? Preferably one thats easy to install/Use?

There are many. Personally I find ktorrent to be fine.
Might want to look at BitTorrent. not bad

just came across a website that says ktorrent 3.3.4 comes with opensuse 11.2? Is this true?
get the packman version if you need the awful DHT
SUSE version works for me though

just as an alternative, i have found qbittorrent to be a very reliable and powerful tool. Lots of features, small memory footprint… just works.
not sure if packman currently provides the package, but i picked up my copy in the build service, so check there.
Deluge. I use it everyday.
It gives you plenty of control, like seeding to 1 to 1 the stopping.
I am using it on 11.1 it beats most others.
Some kind soul keeps it pretty up to day on Packman.
It is one version back right now. I am sure they will update the package soon to the latest.
I highly recommend Vuze, formerly Azureus.

In my opinion its awful to see someone call any app “the most powerful in the world” whichever app it is.
Usually, “The best” is very personal thing, means what is “the best” for me.
Personally, I find Vuze annoying. I am fan of simple and fast apps which “justwork TM” that does only what they are designed to do.
For me, ‘the best’ I have ever used is KTorrent. Many will agree, others will disagree, but it’s all about the choice.
“The best” thing is to try all and find what you like.
definitly going to start w/ Ktorrent especially since 11.2 comes with one…but having problems finding whee it is via both the GUI and CL…anyone know where to find?
Hmm I believe you must install it and it is in the OSS repo. I think that 11.2 DVD installed BitTorrent. And I had to install ktorrent.

Actually, DHT is not that awful as you may think. It may have a few negative sides, but the positive ones far outweigh the negative ones, and if tomorrow all switched to DHT (or similar like PeX) and torrents became fully decentralized killing all trackers, then it’ll be much harder for MAFIAA to track it… much much harder ;). And as it looks now, this is the future (DHT/PeX and similar) with classic trackers becoming slowly more and more obsolete in near future
