I suppose it’s no different, but then this doesn’t help me understand why I’m having trouble installing the Tor browser through this package. Never mind my reasons for preferring to use zypper, my problem is that I can’t install the Tor browser with it and I’d like to remedy that. Beside, if it’s no different from a manual installation, then it should by all accounts work just the same.
I’ll try installing it manually in the meantime and report whether I was successful or not, but the OpenSUSE packaged ought to work, otherwise what’s the point of it. The fact that there’s another installation method doesn’t mean one isn’t free to use their package manager if they so choose, especially if there is a package available.
