Today's update killed Gnome and KDE for me.

English Install/Boot/Login

After the most recent updates, I get no graphics output after login with KDE and Gnome. IceWM works OK, though.

Graphics card:

VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G98 [Quadro NVS 420] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation Device 057e

Prior to this I was using KDE Plasma - worked fine, but a bit sluggish.

Anyone else having trouble?

From your previous posts your running the proprietary driver still?

I would guess that you need to update your nvidia driver to match the running kernel, that always takes time after a kernel is released.

Consider using the run file and patch(es) and can update on the fly.

IceWM is probably happy with the fall back driver, hence you can get to it’s desktop.
