Attempting to run update process via YAST but am getting an error message stating: "The file repomd.xml from repository SUSE:SLE-15-SP5:Update https://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/15.5/sle is not digitally signed. The origin and integrity of the file cannot be verified. Using the file anyway puts the integrity of your system at risk.
Update tomorrow.
Running the update so I can install some software. What if the problem continues tomorrow? Seems like lack of a signature is a process problem.
This is a common error (which was already discussed countless times in the forum). This always happens when a mirror is partly synced or in the mid of syncing. By browsing the repo i can see that it got updated only some hours ago. Mirrors need some time to catch up to this changes as they house more than openSUSE (sometimes TBs of data from different projects and distributions…).
If you get such error message…simply wait and retry.
@hui, Thank you for the additional background. FYI, before I submitted my question, I had searched the topic “repository is not digitally signed” but got only 1 response that was about a different issue.
Again Thanks for the help.
