Hi there!

how to know if my lappy does have USB 3?

My laptop doesn’t, but my desktop does.

The picture on the port itself is different, and has the letters SS on it, for a USB3 port.

Checking KinfoCenter (in KDE) on my desktop, it identifies EHCI host adaptors for USB 2, and xHCI for USB3. The Yast hardware information says something similar.

Also, most USB 3 ports have a blue colour.
