to give many thanks to the author of "dd_rescue"

May be this is not the right place but
it is where i believe i may honour him

i tried to reach mr. garloff at suse.de

unfortunately :
“Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 <garloff@suse.de>: Recipient address rejected: User has moved to <unknown> (state 14).”
in short, “dd_rescue” salvaged almost all my data from a not accessible partition. (yes, i know one must make backups, but …). Even when XFS filesystem is not advertised as being a supported one.
