wobei die Nr. [7.009278] mit jedem Startup und oder Shutdown wieder ändert, dann z.B. [7.007244] oder sonst etwas.

irgendwas mit Ein- & Ausgabe-Adresse und bereits in Gebrauch (daher bereits belegt > mehr verstehe ich nicht)

  • IRQ? dann CPU-Speicher? (Interrupt Request, Unterbrechungsanforderung an einen Computer-Prozessor, in Zusammenhang mit einem zwischenzeitlich abzuarbeitenden Job) nein, wenig wahrscheinlich, oder?
  • RAM-Speicher?
  • NVRAM? SSD/HDD-Speicher?

“0x0cd6” repräsentiert doch, evtl. eine [Teil-] Speicheradresse?
auf was deutet “tco” hin?
Ich suchte im /var/log/boot.log (nix gefunden) und konnte diese Meldung auch nirgendwo nachlesen. Ist diese überhaupt in einem log-file?
Wenn nicht, ist es dann vielleicht mit irgend einem “#cat /proc …tail-grep usw.~ rauszufinden?” oder ähnlich einsehbar, resp. sind dort diesbez. weitere Informationen/Hinweise zu finden?

Was soll ich mir vorstellen? Weiss jemand worauf sich diese Meldung bezieht/beziehen könnte? Wo und wie ist zu suchen?

Look like pnp & smba_idx, no idea what those 2 are!

The culprit is drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-piix4.c, which specifically requests IO address 0xcd6-0cd7.

In earlier kernels, that driver released the region after it was done with its initialization.
This is no longer the case; instead, the region is only released when the driver is unloaded.
In other words, it is now either-or.
You can load the watchdog driver or the i2c driver, but not both.
This was introduced with commit 2fee61d22e60 (“i2c: piix4: Add support for multiplexed main adapter in SB800”). > Guenter

Yes, quite an X server problem.
In the end, I’ve reinstalled the entire system based on the current Tumbleweed Network Install CD. The same problem. But now without working workaround.
So I’ve tryed the xorg repository.

somit vermute ich, dass bei mir der X alles zuerst durchprobiert, nix findet und dann frustriert zurückfällt auf Basis der Basis:

somit interpretiere ich, dass mein X einfach viel Umweg macht und zwischendurch noch eine Fehlermeldung (ip5001 tco_IOaddress already in use) ausspuckt.

Hingegen vermute ich, dass malcolmlewis in post #13 und insb. #17 Will not boot in Kernel 4.9.5.1, ACPI Error, flashing screen, unresponsive - Install/Boot/Login - openSUSE Forums die Lösung anbietet.
Zumindest wäre es für mein System höchstwahrscheinlich genau richtig. Leider kann weiss ich dies nicht zu implentieren/richtig umzusetzen.

Can i use this “vga-Modus, Kernel-Parameter-value, in YaST2” also on the other, the AMD-machine (same monitor, same kernel, same architecture)? Or won’t that work?

dadurch könnte ich vielleicht die Suche nach den Bildschirmsettings etwas beschleunigen, oder nicht? Oder macht man das in /etc/…ca. …systemd, oder wo wenn nicht in YaST2?

die Radeon-Chip-ID ist: 0x9832 (ist “pci-Sub-Device”, jedoch nicht als Kernelparameter für video)

    to set-up the monitor/Xorg @startup goes somewhat quicker!
