Do you have a specific link we can compare with? most of the time I can
download as fast as my connection goes whether at work or at home.

Good luck.

Hi, tnx for reply, Index of /distribution/11.0/repo/non-oss/suse, this is the worst, i launch the download and it takes all over night for 4 mb file, but if i use firefox for downloading then the speed riise to 128 kb/s… only by yast connection i get even 80 b/s.

Probably something on your end, then. As Firefox works maybe it’s a
problem with Yast or whatever it uses but I just pulled down an RPM at
1+ MB/s. The specific file I used was the following:

http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/repo/non-oss/suse/x86_64/java-1_5_0-sun-1.5.0_update15-12.1.x86_64.rpm

Does Yast take a long time pulling files from any other source? Perhaps
try something from the packman repositories, or from a mirror of
opensuse repositories.

Good luck.

You could always try using a mirror closer to your location than
download.opensuse.org.

Tnx for reply, i’l try another mirror for sure.
Little time ago I tried ubuntu 8.3 and there it was a program running before updates telling you which mirror could be better in a certain time, let you choose the best mirror to use at the moment. Is it possible with opensuse?

I’m using a mirror now and it works fine, Tnx.
