Hi
Does anyone know where I can get a Thunderbird RPM - or tell me why I shouldn’t use it ?
easiest way is install through Yast, its on some mirrors there, ready to be installed
Thanks Gonzo
I had tried zypper and it wasn’t found - so I thought yast wouldn’t find it either.
But it was there.

Just an addition:
Note that you will get the latest version if you enable the Mozilla community repository. Seems to work fine here, for NNTP at least.
You’ll also get Firefox 3 through that repo.

As root run the following to add Mozilla repo:
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_11.0/ "Mozilla"
Latest firefox and thinderbird, as well as other mozilla apps.
