Thunderbird colored texts not shown in message panel

TB 140.9.0esr has two main panels, an e-mail list at the top and a bottom panel showing whatever message is selected in the list.
If I write an e-mail with colored and bold text (red, blue, etc.), after sending, the e-mail is shown in black and white in the panel, but the bold formatting remains. If I double-click the message it remains B&W. BUT if I reply or forward the message the colors are there. WTF?
Also, I forwarded the e-mail to a W10 desktop with TB 140.11.1esr, and the messages are shown correctly (with color) both in the message panel and when opening the message, not just replying or forwarding. I’ve checked TB config in both desktops and, as far as I can see, there are no differences related to color or composing (HTML/text auto mode, standard color settings, etc. The only difference is that the linux desktop uses dark mode, and the w10 box doesn’t.
Any suggestions?

Sorry about that, I was not aware, but it makes sense.
Anyway, the solution was simple, just turn of dark mode in the message, or overall in TB options. Newbie mistake.
