Thunderbird 3.1.19 will not print to the network printer.

The wife’s 11.4 KDE system works on the network printer. Google Chrome prints(The new default browser). Open Office/ Libre Office and kwrite print to the network printer.
Firefox will not print to the network printer and Thunderbird will not print to the network printer.

This has been an issue for a while (back even under 11.3) and was the reason I just installed Google Chrome to see if it would print. It does.

She is a coupon hound and has to be able to print from Thunderbird. She unknown to me has been accessing her email account on a Windows machine so she can print coupons. I don’t want her to get her account compromised by accessing it via Windows XP so I need a solution. There is some hook somewhere telling it there is no printer. YAST knows there is a printer and all other non Mozilla apps know there is a network printer and work. Does anyone know of such a hook and where it might be?

Further info
I was able to get Firefox to print a local file.
I deleted all non post script printer info from Thunderbird’s about.config.
Now I get the following message which is better than I had before.

Perhaps a trip to TB>Edit>Preferences>Advanced>Config Editor might help some. Just guessing, mind you.

Yea I’ve already tried that route by resetting (removing ) all previous printers that had been installed. The only software that has printer issues is Firefox and Thunderbird so it’s a common setting someplace. I am also unable to set for gray scale printing which would be nice too.
