BBC News - Police shoot dead ‘rampaging’ cow in Kendal

"Police said that after discussions with its owner and a vet, it was **shot dead **by a police marksman to prevent it from harming itself or other members of the public. "

Oookaaay :sarcastic:.

That cow is in a better place now. :expressionless:

Just up the road from me

Mmmm… steak.

> Mmmm… steak.
Of course now that I think about it…could be mad cow.
I’ll pass on the steak.

So they shot a cow dead to keep it from harming iself? Yeah… makes sense :silly:
Sounds like mad cow disease, but not on the side of the cow rotfl!

I grew up on a dairy farm and we also had beef cattle. We never had to shoot one because it got out. :open_mouth: I would ask what were they thinking, but it is obvious that they were not thinking at all. I’m not sure they are capable of rational thought.

All the owner had to do was walk out there with a bucket of sweet feed and she would have followed him home. I know this to be a fact, because I have done this and even the most upset and angry cow or bull will forget all their troubles when s/he hears you rattle that bucket and smells that feed.
